Guided Surf Fishing Rates

Whether you are an experienced fly angler, or this is your first fly-fishing experience, let the guides at Solis on the Salt introduce you to San Diego’s little secret – fly fishing in the surf. Southern California’s beaches offer year round opportunities for the fly angler. From the ever present Surf Perch, Halibut and Croakers to the discriminating and wily Corbina, our beaches have something for everyone.

Wake up early and fish the dawn patrol or fish with the sunset over the Pacific Ocean. Either way you are likely to be back while everyone else is waking up or prior to heading out for dinner!

Solis on the Salt is offering private guided 3-hour trips in the surf for individuals and group outings.

Private Guide Trips

$200 for one angler
$250 for two anglers
$300 for three anglers

Do you have a larger group than three? No problem, just send us an email and we will arrange for additional guides as necessary.

Gear Selection

Equipment can be provided or you can bring your own 5-weight or 6-weight rod with a sink tip or shooting head. We recommend integrated shooting head lines from 100-250 grains for most 5-weight and 6-weight rods, and have lines available upon request. We will provide the flies and leaders.

You should also bring waders, boots, a light water proof jacket, sunglasses, sunscreen, a hat and a stripping basket. If necessary these items can be provided upon request for a nominal fee.

Our guides carry cameras to record that catch of a lifetime and will be more than happy to email those special photos to you.
